A lovely, friendly campsite with easy access to Hereford, very clean facilities, a great information shed, a wash up and recycling area.
If you like wildlife you'll LOVE this site, there are bunnies running around, birds of prey soaring overhead, lots of robins, blue tits and marsh tits.
There are also 2 lovely Shetland ponies and chickens in the ajoining paddock (you can buy eggs from Adrian)
The nearby village has a shop which sells all the basics and a very good chip shop ( portions are massive)
Just past the village (over the level crossing) you can pick up a public footpath to The Golden Cross pub in Sutton St Nicholas which is well worth a visit (walk takes about 50 mins)
The owner Adrian is a lovely chap, very attentive without being in your face
Will definitely be returning and have already recommended this site to fellow caravanners

What a lovely site, stayed for 2 nights, a very warn welcome, and a very helpful owner. Shower rooms nice and warm, good shower.
The large pitches gave us ample room for what we needed.
Look forward to going back.

I needed a one night stay for my motorhome in this area so that I was able to be at the dealership for warranty work early in the morning.
The booking process was easy via e mail, with the owner, Adrian, e mailing me back promptly saying that was fine. No deposit needed.
On arrival my name and pitch number were on a board as you entered.
You just set up and he comes along later.
The pitch was a long concrete strip (45' long)which would accommodate most size
Motorhomes, with a pea gravel area next to it for your awning. I believe there are 20 pitches, some of which are for tents.
This time of year obviously doesn't show a site at its best.
It was a grey, damp rainy day. Being on the concrete was a blessing as I did not carry the mud into the van.
There are two really nice underfloor heated showers, and also two toilets 1M/1F.
Not sure how this would work out if all pitches were full.
Chemical toilet disposal next to toilets.
Also an information room. With DVD's available to borrow.
Washer and microwave also available if needed.
On meeting the owner later on, he is a very pleasant host offering local information.
There is a chip shop approximately 5 minutes walk away with huge portions. A post office/store slightly further on.
I did not find it annoying, but there is some road noise.
For £17 PN with EHU, free WIFI and a tap and TV point on each pitch, very good value.

Just spent two pleasant nights at this site. The facilities look quite basic on first glance, but on entering you find they're more like a clean domestic bathroom, with plenty of room to manoeuvre and change and lots of hot water without having to resort to plunger buttons.
Loads of information available and free Wi-Fi too.
We had a lovely lunch and walk around the nearby Queenswood country park but were a bit disappointed by the local shop, as we were still too full to try the local fish and chip shop.
Adrian runs a nice little site, at an excellent price.

Best value for money ever!. Hard standing with pea shingle for awning. Pitch includes ehu own water tv socket and waste water. Lovely grassed areas. Donkeys and chickens. Heated bathroom. The owner (Adrian) is always on hand and happy to help. It's a campsite owened by a man who obviously likes caravans. I'll be back soon ☺

An excellent, very well run site with a friendly atmosphere and the owner has thought of everything an experienced caravaner would want. From the arrivals board at the entrance showing your pitch number, so no queues at Reception, to the provision of a fridge, freezer and microwave. Also dogs and awnings are free as is the WIFI (usually at least an extra £2 a day). An excellent dog walk. But, above all, the toilets/showers are exceptionally luxurious; proper rooms, no banging elbows. At first it would appear that the four toilets and two showers would be inadequate but the site was nearly full when we were there and not once did we have to queue. Certainly far superior to any CL I have visited. Highly recommended.

Great site with very well maintained hardstanding pitches and gravel area for awnings etc. Excellent toilets/showers and laundry area which was very reasonable price. Nice dog walks directly from the site and fish & chip shop 5 mins away in the village. Free WiFi throughout site and electricity, TV and water points at each pitch. Definitely worth the £15. 00 price.
Not far from Hereford which has all the shops inc Asda and Tesco, you can also take the bus there if you don't want to drive.

Just returned from a five day stay at this site, our third visit in two years. Excellent value for money with free Wi-Fi, EHU and TV points. The facilities have improved each visit and the new shower block is excellent. Adrian, the owner, has always been friendly and helpful. Location excellent for Hereford etc with bus stops at the site entrance We shall certainly be going again.

We have literally just returned from six days on this (adults only) site and having read the previous review thought I had to comment.
We found the site to be well placed for visiting Hereford and the surrounding area with good sized hard standing pitches all with their own EHU, TV socket, and water supply. The site is close to the A49 and as reported in previous reviews there is some traffic noise but the level did not affect us one bit.
The site is very busy and all the pitches appear to be full most of the time and having spoken to a number of visitors quite a number are repeat visitors, which says a lot!
The new amenity block is very nice with two private shower/toilets/WHB which we found were kept very clean with level concrete footpath approaches as it is to the waste water and grey waste areas.
There is also a small information Kiosk attached to the new amenity block which is packed with information on local places to visit plus books, DVD's and CD's to borrow.
The price of £14 per night or £90 for the week includes for everything: excellent wi-fi, awnings, dog, electricity etc and the only item you are required to pay for is the Washing machine (if you need to us it).
Didn't use the local pubs/shops but did have two excellent meals in Weatherspoons in Hereford (The Kings Fee).
All in all an excellent site at a very reasonable cost.

What a fabulous site. Very easy access to the A49. Slight road noise but living on the G. W. R main line after the first night we didn`t really notice it that much. Terrific host. Looking forward to the upgrades next year and revisiting again in October this year. What we really liked was the spacious pitches some with hard standing, well maintained, short grass having and picnic benches around, and clean facilities, lovely dog walk and the convenience to the local shop and chippy.
Adult only site. Peace !

We received a very warm welcome, with a couple of the site rules. Common sense really!, shown the facilities and our pitch, then basically left to enjoy our holiday.
We cannot fault anything on the site at all. Everything is as described. It is set out with plenty of space between each unit, not far to showers from anywhere on site, lovely dog walk out the back and down in the village the natives are friendly too!
Our one and only gripe would be the proximity to the main A49. There is quite a lot of traffic noise, but if you don't mind this, or are out a lot, then it's fine. It never stopped us sleeping at night!
It was an excellent location for days out in every direction.
We would stay again, although maybe not for a week. And would definitely recommend to friends.

Having just returned from Cuckoos Corner I have to say what a pleasure it was, a very well maintained site, showers fantastic, & free, a bit of road noise, but that's not a fault of the site. I found the owner a very friendly chap & helpful with enquiries It was a nice distance from home to make regular use of and that's something I shall be doing, as often as possible. I would like to say a BIG Thank You, to the owners for making us feel very welcome.Date of Visit: May 2014Unit: MotorhomeRating: Reviewer: Yokel8 reviews from this member
I am writing this whilst using the free wifi on site!
For us this is a perfect site - adults only with water, ehu, free wifi on each pitch. Lovely new showers with underfloor heating, lots of hooks, seating and plenty of space. We liked the pitch info on the drive which meant we pulled into our pitch and were cooking tea by the time the lovely owner appeared with an information leaflet and details about the site.
Very close to the bus stop for Hereford, Leominster and Ludlow.
Great info on the website for finding the site.
All this for £14 a night - even on a bank holiday! We will be back :-)

Spent a very pleasant week at Cuckoos Corner. Easy to find and easy to access from main road, always a plus when towing. A little road noise but not enough to worry us. All pitches had EHU. Although the facilities are a little dated were clean and the showers are free and hot. Nice walks around the site. Free wifi and added bonus and all for a very reasonable pitch fee. Plenty to do in the local area. Will certainly use this site again when in the area.

Great little site just off the main road so a small amount of traffic noise. There are two fields and we stayed on the CC CL field so only a few vans and all hard standing and level so drive on, drive off, couldn't be easier. All pitches had EHU.
Toilets and showers worked fine and were clean if a bit old, but hey they worked fine. Plenty of visitor information available. Owner was very friendly. Good dog walk nearby through fields.
Easy walk to village but not a lot there. Award winning Chipshop won its award in 2007, but we didn't have any so cant say if they are still prizewinning. Site itself was nice and quiet as Adult only. Had Free Wi-Fi too. Would stay again.

This site is well worth a visit, quiet, well kept and the owner is very friendly. We were let down by our original camp site and phoned cuckoos corner from a car park 10 mins up the road on the off chance.
The owner was very accommodating telling us it wasn't a problem informed us of the pitch number we could have and said he would be round later to collect payment, we intended on staying just the one night until we could find somewhere else but ended up staying for 3 nights as there was really no need to go anywhere else. We went for the back to basics in a tent and even though the site is more geared for caravans we didn't feel out of place and the site had everything we needed, free showers, use of fridge & freezer, space and hot water for washing up, free wifi, there was even books to read and paintings for sale in the reading room. The facilities are a little quaint but are perfectly adequate and we never had to queue for the toilets even when the site was full.
We went for a visit to Hereford guided to the car park with directions from the owner, a day in Ludlow and a visit to the cheese making shop, we also walked into the local village to try the chip shop which is well worth a visit.
There is a main road running past the camp site which for 2 of the 3 nights didn't cause any significant noise but unfortunately they decided to re-surface the road on the 3rd night which couldn't be helped and some ear plugs did the trick.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to Cuckoos corner it is a tidy, quiet well run site, a credit to the owner

We have just returned from a week at this site and can honestly say, we did not want to leave.
The owner greeted us as soon as we arrived and was very chatty, friendly and welcoming. Throughout the week it became evident how hard this man works on the upkeep of the site, he never stops and it shows!
The site has a great location in an area surrounded by things to do and places to go. Some traffic can be heard from the main road but nothing major. The pitches are ideal and the whole site is just beautiful. Numerous chickens run free around the site and are extremely tame with one jumping into our caravan as soon as we opened the door and another jumping on my knee as I was eating outside! Highly entertaining.
The TV and WiFi signals are strong which is a must for us and the WiFi is free. The price we paid was £85 for our touring caravan for the two of us for one week with no additional fee for putting up our awning. Bargain!
The local chip shop is a short walk away and there are local take-aways that deliver right to your pitch. There are also many cider factories around that offer tours and tasting, not to be missed!
Our only downside (and it really is only the one) was that the shower/toilet facilities are extremely dated albeit very clean. We would rather pay that bit more and have more up to date facilities. But as they were very clean, this didn't phase us too much.
Would recommend this site to others without any hesitation.

A little gem, small flat, sheltered. Very quiet site but with a lovely homely feel about it. Ideally situated just North of Hereford, plenty to do in the area.
Yes the facilities are best described as 'quaint' but the toilets and showers are clean and functional even if the floor does slope a little, and as the site is populated mostly with caravanners,
We never had to queue to use either the toilets or showers throughout a long weekend when the site was full.
The chip shop in the village is worth a visit, try to catch the Friday/Saturday only curry it was well worth the 10 minute walk from the site.
Will definitely be returning as only a 2 hour journey for me so suitable for 3/4 day breaks.
Not sure I've seen it mentioned in other reviews, but besides the strong wifi signal across the whole site, there is also excellent TV reception without having to resort to erecting a high aerial.

Just returned from a nine night stay, fantastic site, good welcome by Adrian, well organised name & plot number on board as you enter. Nice hot showers, good FREE wi fi, pot washing & washing machine & dryer all good, microwave & freezer to use. Local village good fish & chip shop & local store also Chinese & pizza delivery to camp site
Visited Hereford, Leominster & weobli & other villages. Also has circular walks to do, we did three of them. Also visited a local nature reserve could have spent all day there
Will we return again to this site 'YOU BET' Thanks again for making us very welcome. We spent 5 nights on this lovely little site. The amenities although a bit dated were very clean and adequate. The pitch was a grass one but flat and well drained and although close to the busy A49 road did not disturb us.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and on hand if needed. The free range chickens were fun and added to the delight of the site
We would not hesitate in recommending the site to anybody and will definitely return at some time.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a central point to main cities and towns and plenty to see and visit near by. The site is clean and tidy, although dated, but everything works and the showers are lovely and hot!I didn't need to queue for them ever.
The 'little library' area is great with scrabble, monopoly and lots of books to borrow. There is a handy fridge to use if you are a camper and a microw wave. The owners are friendly and let you settle in before coming to see you and make sure you are ok and have everything you need.
Its a really pleasant site with chickens that roam free and come and say hello and rabbits gallor at dusk! One thing I will say is that if you are VERY sensitive to traffic noise then may not be best to come here but I'm a light sleeper and after the first night it didn't bother me at all.
Complete value for money!
Make sure you visit the Weir Garden, its beautiful, The Swan Inn - top notch food! and Hampton Courtd for a great adventure in the gardens!
Will definitely come here again. Thank you to the owners for a great holiday.

Visited this site last week, easy to find & pitch number shown on post into campsite. Intimate site with good size pitches. Toilets & showers are very old fashioned but work well & very clean. There is also washing machine & dryer facilities as well as fridge freezer & microwave. Chickens & rabbits running around which was quite nice although one chicken tried to gatecrash our tent!
Tried the fish & Chip shop on the Saturday night pre- ordered the food over the telephone & just popped over to pick it up, good service & reasonable fish n chips although I wouldn't say award winning. Would definitely use this site again especially as they don't ask for a deposit. £10.00 per night for non electric pitch, can not go wrong & no screaming children to wake you up in the morning.!

We book sites throughout the UK where we can access towns and cities easily and conveniently by public transport. Cuckoo's Corner fitted the bill perfectly.
There is a good mixture of tents, caravans and motorhomes on site. The owner was very relaxed when we booked saying that he would come round during the weekend to collect our fees.
The facilities supplied are basic but clean and although fairly busy we never saw anybody queuing.
The site has a slight farmyard feel to it with a pen holding ponies and donkeys alongside the tamest chickens I have ever seen! One hopped onto our motorhome step and with the slightest encouragement would have joined us on the sofa!
At only £12 per night for such an ideal location along with HUGE hardstandings + electricity we shall be using again.

What a delightful site ! £10 a night with EHU, very clean and tidy, facilities all do what they say on the label, in fact, had a lovely warm shower in the mornings.
There are hens wandering around and a couple of donkeys and shetland ponies at the end of one field. The area has little but the main town is only a couple of miles away, no kids on site so its wonderfully quiet. We will definitely be returning.

Brilliant location just off the A49 between Hereford and Leominster - great for anyone travelling from West Yorkshire to South Wales! Very easy to find.Friendly and relaxed and welcoming for a lone traveller. Extremely good value for hook up and free wifi. All level pitches.
Great for dogs with a footpath from the site and a range of other nearby bridleways and footpaths for a longer stretch. Toilet and shower facilities fine. Site was fairly quiet when I was there, so toilet and shower could get busy if the site had been fuller.
Shop about 10 minutes away selling milk, bread papers etc and what looked and smelt like a fantastic chip shop. Will definitely revisit.

We decided to extend out stay in Herefordshire and managed to get a pitch at Cuckoos Corner at the last minute. We consider ourselves very fortunate!
Lovely site with nice sized pitches and to our delight a toilets block (Caravan Club CL site write up is incorrect) free showers, pot washing sink and a laundry room. Most pitches have hook up and a shared water supply. All this for just £10 a night or £8 without hook up!
There are chickens roaming about looking to make friends with you which is all part of the charm.
Great base for doing the Cider Trail, visiting National Trust properties and there’s a massive car boot on Sunday AM near Leominster. Also went to Symonds Yat, Ross on Wye and Hereford - all lovely places worthy of a visit. We hired a canoe and had a lovely day on the Wye.
And what’s more it’s an Adult only site so no screamers!

My wife and I have returned to this site each year for the past few years, sometimes more than once per year when visiting Hereford. The current owners here have since made it adult only which is fine. To be honest we relish the peace here because that is our idea of a holiday break. All you need is here, water, power, clean toilets, good showers, waste facilities, and room with magazines/books to borrow on site; and the owner is friendly and helpful. Nearby is the Hereford-Leominster road with bus stop close by. Opposite the site, across the main road is the village with shop/post office, a good fish and chip shop. Despite the closeness of the road and its traffic, I still give this site a full score of 10 out of 10. I hope this quiet little site remains so, because we plan to return.

This site is great value for money at £10-00 per night, including the dog and an awning, and even FREE wi-fi connection which I am using to write this review. Lovely friendly owners and great flat pitches,we were on grass but there are lots of hardstandings as well.It is quite near to the village with one of the best chip & shops I have visited, there is an earlier review about it being a bit expensive, I found it to be very reasonable at £2-00 for a large bag (plenty for 2 people). Hereford is only 5min away and Leominster about 20min.
The site is clean and tidy with plenty of toilet paper and soap in the toilets, and plenty of hot water for the showers, the toilets and showers are very outdated but, they are clean and they all work, and what's more it's only £10-00 a night.
We will definitely be back.
=====================================================================================
