"The
site has become an excellent 2 Pennant site and it is obviously very popular
with many returning customers. The grounds and pitches were in excellent condition,
in spite of all the rain. The Facility Blocks were very fresh, clean and tidy. Mr Spong told me of the work he had done in the last year.
In Cabin 2 new carpets have been laid in the information room and corridor.
· In the showers new PVC walling has been added and redecorated
· Cabin 1 the toilets have been redecorated, the pale cream makes the rooms appear larger and definitely much brighter.
Each year the site improves – good maintenance and little extras with the customer in mind.
In view of the above I can confirm the AA 2P rating and an increase to quality score to 82%"

Date of Visit: September 2012Unit: Touring CaravanRating: Reviewer: Angela614 reviews from this member Spent a very pleasant week at Cuckoos Corner. Easy to find and easy to access from main road, always a plus when towing. A little road noise but not enough to worry us. All pitches had EHU. Although the facilities are a little dated were clean and the showers are free and hot. Nice walks around the site. Free wifi and added bonus and all for a very reasonable pitch fee. Plenty to do in the local area. Will certainly use this site again when in the area.
Date of Visit: September 2012Unit: CampervanRating: Reviewer: Vanterrier15 reviews from this member Great little site just off the main road so a small amount of traffic noise. There are two fields and we stayed on the CC CL field so only a few vans and all hard standing and level so drive on, drive off, couldn't be easier. All pitches had EHU.
Toilets and showers worked fine and were clean if a bit old, but hey they worked fine. Plenty of visitor information available. Owner was very friendly. Good dog walk nearby through fields.
Easy walk to village but not a lot there. Award winning Chipshop won its award in 2007, but we didn't have any so cant say if they are still prizewinning. Site itself was nice and quiet as Adult only. Had Free Wi-Fi too. Would stay again.
Date of Visit: August 2012Unit: TentRating: Reviewer: Adharris0011 review from this member This site is well worth a visit, quiet, well kept and the owner is very friendly. We were let down by our original camp site and phoned cuckoos corner from a car park 10 mins up the road on the off chance.
The owner was very accommodating telling us it wasn't a problem informed us of the pitch number we could have and said he would be round later to collect payment, we intended on staying just the one night until we could find somewhere else but ended up staying for 3 nights as there was really no need to go anywhere else. We went for the back to basics in a tent and even though the site is more geared for caravans we didn't feel out of place and the site had everything we needed, free showers, use of fridge & freezer, space and hot water for washing up, free wifi, there was even books to read and paintings for sale in the reading room. The facilities are a little quaint but are perfectly adequate and we never had to queue for the toilets even when the site was full.
We went for a visit to Hereford guided to the car park with directions from the owner, a day in Ludlow and a visit to the cheese making shop, we also walked into the local village to try the chip shop which is well worth a visit.
There is a main road running past the camp site which for 2 of the 3 nights didn't cause any significant noise but unfortunately they decided to re-surface the road on the 3rd night which couldn't be helped and some ear plugs did the trick.
We wouldn't hesitate to return to Cuckoos corner it is a tidy, quiet well run site, a credit to the owner
The owner greeted us as soon as we arrived and was very chatty, friendly and welcoming. Throughout the week it became evident how hard this man works on the upkeep of the site, he never stops and it shows!
The site has a great location in an area surrounded by things to do and places to go. Some traffic can be heard from the main road but nothing major. The pitches are ideal and the whole site is just beautiful. Numerous chickens run free around the site and are extremely tame with one jumping into our caravan as soon as we opened the door and another jumping on my knee as I was eating outside! Highly entertaining.
The TV and WiFi signals are strong which is a must for us and the WiFi is free. The price we paid was £85 for our touring caravan for the two of us for one week with no additional fee for putting up our awning. Bargain!
The local chip shop is a short walk away and there are local take-aways that deliver right to your pitch. There are also many cider factories around that offer tours and tasting, not to be missed!
Our only downside (and it really is only the one) was that the shower/toilet facilities are extremely dated albeit very clean. We would rather pay that bit more and have more up to date facilities. But as they were very clean, this didn't phase us too much. Would recommend this site to others without any hesitation.

Reviewer: Brettsy10 reviews from this member A little gem, small flat, sheltered. Very quiet site but with a lovely homely feel about it. Ideally situated just North of Hereford, plenty to do in the area.
Yes the facilities are best described as 'quaint' but the toilets and showers are clean and functional even if the floor does slope a little, and as the site is populated mostly with caravanners,
We never had to queue to use either the toilets or showers throughout a long weekend when the site was full.
The chip shop in the village is worth a visit, try to catch the Friday/Saturday only curry it was well worth the 10 minute walk from the site.
Will definitely be returning as only a 2 hour journey for me so suitable for 3/4 day breaks.
Not sure I've seen it mentioned in other reviews, but besides the strong wifi signal across the whole site, there is also excellent TV reception without having to resort to erecting a high aerial.
Date of Visit: August 2012Unit: MotorhomeRating: Reviewer: Heyholetsgosd6 reviews from this member Love this site before we saw it! Adrian was prompt replying to an email query and just as prompt making the requested reservation. No deposit requested which was lovely.
Appreciated the board at the entrance directing us to our pitch number as we could get settled and then go to the office.
Immaculate site, dated facilities but very clean and free wi-fi. Dog friendly and great fish and chips from the shop in the village.Date of Visit: July 2012Unit: CampervanRating: Reviewer: Digger471 review from this member Just returned from a nine night stay, fantastic site, good welcome by Adrian, well organised name & plot number on board as you enter. Nice hot showers, good FREE wi fi, pot washing & washing machine & dryer all good, microwave & freezer to use. Local village good fish & chip shop & local store also Chinese & pizza delivery to camp site
Visited Hereford, Leominster & weobli & other villages. Also has circular walks to do, we did three of them. Also visited a local nature reserve could have spent all day there
Will we return again to this site 'YOU BET' Thanks again for making us very welcome. We spent 5 nights on this lovely little site. The amenities although a bit dated were very clean and adequate. The pitch was a grass one but flat and well drained and although close to the busy A49 road did not disturb us.
The owner was very friendly and helpful and on hand if needed. The free range chickens were fun and added to the delight of the site
We would not hesitate in recommending the site to anybody and will definitely return at some time. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
+ Mrs G +J Tucker Comment We spent a weekend in Aug 2011, at cuckoos corner camping. We had a really relaxing time.It was so quite + peaceful. The campsite was lovely and clean so were the toilets/showers etc.We will definitely be returning again this year and would also recommend it to others.Definitely value for £12 a night including Electric. "Thankyou" to the owners for making our weekend a Great one to remember and many more in the very near future.

Really enjoyed our stay here. It's a central point to main cities and towns and plenty to see and visit near by. The site is clean and tidy, although dated, but everything works and the showers are lovely and hot!I didn't need to queue for them ever.
The 'little library' area is great with scrabble, monopoly and lots of books to borrow. There is a handy fridge to use if you are a camper and a microw wave. The owners are friendly and let you settle in before coming to see you and make sure you are ok and have everything you need.
Its a really pleasant site with chickens that roam free and come and say hello and rabbits gallor at dusk! One thing I will say is that if you are VERY sensitive to traffic noise then may not be best to come here but I'm a light sleeper and after the first night it didn't bother me at all.
Complete value for money!
Make sure you visit the Weir Garden, its beautiful, The Swan Inn - top notch food! and Hampton Courtd for a great adventure in the gardens!
Will definitely come here again. Thank you to the owners for a great holiday.
Visited this site last week, easy to find & pitch number shown on post into campsite. Intimate site with good size pitches. Toilets & showers are very old fashioned but work well & very clean. There is also washing machine & dryer facilities as well as fridge freezer & microwave. Chickens & rabbits running around which was quite nice although one chicken tried to gatecrash our tent!
Tried the fish & Chip shop on the Saturday night pre- ordered the food over the telephone & just popped over to pick it up, good service & reasonable fish n chips although I wouldn't say award winning. Would definitely use this site again especially as they don't ask for a deposit. £10.00 per night for non electric pitch, can not go wrong & no screaming children to wake you up in the morning.!
Reviewer: Kevinsheldon (15) Date of Visit: July 2010 Unit: Motorhome
We book sites throughout the UK where we can access towns and cities easily and conveniently by public transport. Cuckoo's Corner fitted the bill perfectly.
There is a good mixture of tents, caravans and motorhomes on site. The owner was very relaxed when we booked saying that he would come round during the weekend to collect our fees.
The facilities supplied are basic but clean and although fairly busy we never saw anybody queuing.
The site has a slight farmyard feel to it with a pen holding ponies and donkeys alongside the tamest chickens I have ever seen! One hopped onto our motorhome step and with the slightest encouragement would have joined us on the sofa!
At only £12 per night for such an ideal location along with HUGE hardstandings + electricity we shall be using again.

What a delightful site ! £10 a night with EHU, very clean and tidy, facilities all do what they say on the label, in fact, had a lovely warm shower in the mornings. There are hens wandering around and a couple of donkeys and shetland ponies at the end of one field. The area has little but the main town is only a couple of miles away, no kids on site so its wonderfully quiet. We will definitely be returning. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Brilliant location just off the A49 between Hereford and Leominster - great for anyone travelling from West Yorkshire to South Wales! Very easy to find.Friendly and relaxed and welcoming for a lone traveller. Extremely good value for hook up and free wifi. All level pitches. Great for dogs with a footpath from the site and a range of other nearby bridleways and footpaths for a longer stretch. Toilet and shower facilities fine. Site was fairly quiet when I was there, so toilet and shower could get busy if the site had been fuller. Shop about 10 minutes away selling milk, bread papers etc and what looked and smelt like a fantastic chip shop. Will definitely revisit. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

We decided to extend out stay in Herefordshire and managed to get a pitch at Cuckoos Corner at the last minute. We consider ourselves very fortunate!
Lovely site with nice sized pitches and to our delight a toilets block (Caravan Club CL site write up is incorrect) free showers, pot washing sink and a laundry room. Most pitches have hook up and a shared water supply. All this for just £10 a night or £8 without hook up!
There are chickens roaming about looking to make friends with you which is all part of the charm.
Great base for doing the Cider Trail, visiting National Trust properties and there’s a massive car boot on Sunday AM near Leominster. Also went to Symonds Yat, Ross on Wye and Hereford - all lovely places worthy of a visit. We hired a canoe and had a lovely day on the Wye.
And what’s more it’s an Adult only site so no screamers!
We shall return to this site in the future! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I found this lovely peaceful site, the camp site was clean and peaceful and the site owner was really helpful, a few of my friends found out where we were going and decided to join us, Adrian found places for all of them. We really enjoyed our stay there with easy access to hereford and Leominster buy bus. I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a stop over site. The toilet block is clean but a bit antiquated, there is a shower which I didn't use as there was no disabled access. This site is very tent friendly with a dish wash area and also a sitting room. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

My wife and I have returned to this site each year for the past few years, sometimes more than once per year when visiting Hereford. The current owners here have since made it adult only which is fine. To be honest we relish the peace here because that is our idea of a holiday break. All you need is here, water, power, clean toilets, good showers, waste facilities, and room with magazines/books to borrow on site; and the owner is friendly and helpful. Nearby is the Hereford-Leominster road with bus stop close by. Opposite the site, across the main road is the village with shop/post office, a good fish and chip shop. Despite the closeness of the road and its traffic, I still give this site a full score of 10 out of 10. I hope this quiet little site remains so, because we plan to return. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Reviewer: Talkinghead (4) Date of Visit: July 2009 Unit: Touring Caravan
This site is great value for money at £10-00 per night, including the dog and an awning, and even FREE wi-fi connection which I am using to write this review. Lovely friendly owners and great flat pitches,we were on grass but there are lots of hardstandings as well.It is quite near to the village with one of the best chip & shops I have visited, there is an earlier review about it being a bit expensive, I found it to be very reasonable at £2-00 for a large bag (plenty for 2 people). Hereford is only 5min away and Leominster about 20min.
The site is clean and tidy with plenty of toilet paper and soap in the toilets, and plenty of hot water for the showers, the toilets and showers are very outdated but, they are clean and they all work, and what's more it's only £10-00 a night.
We will definitely be back. =====================================================================================
Open All Year Number of pitches 20, of which 16 are hard-standing
CUCKOO’S CORNER IS an excellent adults-only site located just three miles from Hereford. It is just off the A49, so access is easy. The site is flat and spread across two fields with plenty of trees and hedges for shelter and privacy.
The 16 hardstandings have hook-up and with water points on every other pitch, you’ll never have a lengthy walk to get water. The wash block was always clean and hot water for showers is free. There is a separate launderette, which also houses the dishwashing sinks. Rotary washing lines are provided so you can dry your washing outside instead of using the tumble dryer. Dogs are welcome on site, too, at no additional charge. You can also use the Wi—Fi free of charge. There is no shop on site but Morton on Lugg is within walking distance. Here, there is a post office-cum-village shop and an award winning fish and chip shop. The site’s central location gives easy access to Herefordshire’s attractions. Hereford is close by,while Leominster is 10 miles away and Worcester 27. The Elan Valley, the Malvern Hills and Golden Valley are all just an hour’s drive. We visited the Queenswood Nature Park, just four miles from site where we explored several paths through the woods, culminating at the ‘lookout’ meeting point. We had a great view of the Malvern Hills to the East and the Black Mountains to the West. Afterwards we returned to the café for coffee and cakes. Leominster is about 15 minutes’ drive from the site. It has several antiques shops and on Fridays there is a street market.
